Methamphetamine Possession & Distribution in Florida

Possessing up to 14 grams of meth is a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison and $5,000 in fines. If you are found in possession of more than 14 grams of methamphetamine, you will be charged with drug trafficking. The penalties associated with drug trafficking depend on the amount of meth in possession.

You will face the mandatory minimum sentence of:

  • Three years in prison and $50,000 in fines if caught trafficking 14-28 grams of meth
  • Seven years in prison and a $100,000 fine if caught trafficking 28-200 grams of meth
